Sonic Dash is an endless runner starring everyone's favorite hedgehog. Sonic the Hedgehog, known for his speed and the physics defying world he lives in, is a perfect fit for the increasingly populated endless runner genre, and Sega have managed to incorporate their most recognized mascot into the popular style of game with great aplomb.

The stunning three dimensional environments on display perfectly convey the cartoonish world of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the animation is strongly rendered, offering an adrenaine-inducing feeling of legitimate speed to the proceedings. Controls are handled with simple taps and swipes of the fingers, but that's not to suggest the game isn't challenging. Obstacles becoming increasingly prevalent the later you get into each course, and players have to weigh the advantage of collecting precariously placed coins against the cost of failure. A number of abilities increase your effectiveness on each course, allowing you to replicate tried and true techniques like the homing attack and spin dash.

The game is replete with fan service. Both classic villain Dr. Robotnik and new nemesis Zazz serve as challenges in the story mode, and players can compete as either Sonic or a number of his friends. Social features allow you to compete against friends and engage in limited time events to unlock new skins.
